In 2005-2006, 113 were offered a featuring with Rihanna by their label, but after consideration, the three members (AP, Mokobé, Rim’K) turned it down. At the time, the Barbados artist was releasing her second album, A Girl Like Me which still isn’t a chart-topper today, and she was far from her current charisma.. The artists would never have met, it would have been just another label exchange, without any soul or humanity, and as Rim’K points out, “That’s not how I see music.”
“It wasn’t the Rihanna of today, I would have loved to do a song with her, but not like that, it was more an arrangement between record companies than a real meeting, a real sharing. That’s not how I see music.” Rim’K
